While Venmo began as a peer-to-peer payment application, it’s becoming more widely accepted as a form of payment at select businesses, metro machines, and even parking meters. However, the brand's challenge expands beyond spreading awareness. Even though a growing number of institutions are accepting Venmo, there are still a fair number of hesitant prospective users.

 

The irony is that in many instances, the root of people’s discomfort with Venmo is a fear of complication, but in truth, existing payment methods have a larger margin for error. This campaign highlights the difficulties customers experience with existing payment tools, showcases the growing acceptance of Venmo, and delivers the message—if you don’t use Venmo, the way you pay is soon to be obsolete.
